The "Hurlbut"
Our flagship locomotive is a 1953 4-4-4 steam profile locomotive. While she looks like she runs on steam, the "Hurlbut" (named for the manufacturer) is powered by a 12 hp Kohler gasoline engine driving a manual stick shift transmission to a centrifugal clutch, with a chain drive to the wheels.

The "American"
Our restoration project is a Ben Hammer 4-4-0 "American" locomotive. Its name comes from the wheel arrangement. It is patterned after an 1859 steam locomotive. We are accepting donations for the repair of the boiler.
Ben built the locomotive in Sun City, AZ, but died before he could finish the engine. We are attempting to complete his efforts and restore the locomotive to actual steam operation on our railroad.

Trolley Cars
Two converted trolley cars provide comfortable seating for our passengers. These cars have been adapted specifically for our 15-inch gauge track.
Conductor Car
Our conductor car rounds out the train consist, providing a place for our conductor to ride and ensuring safe operations on every run.

We are actively working on adding an additional locomotive and two new passenger cars to our roster. Stay tuned for updates!

We are currently working on a line extension that will add more track and extend the ride experience. Our volunteers are building new trackbed and laying rail to make the railroad even better.
