Public rides are paused

We are building our track expansion, and public rides are paused while that work goes on. We will not be opening in October.

Our opening date is not set yet. Please look for an update here after the holidays. This page is the first place we will post it.

One thing to note for when we do open: our ride times have changed to 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

  • Maricopa Live Steamers and the model railroad society share the park with us.

We Are Expanding

More Track Means More Fun

Our volunteers are building a line extension that will more than double the ride. Track laying is underway right now, and it is the reason the railroad is closed this October.

Where we are today

The green loop is the track running now, boarding at our Sahuaro Station platform. The red route is the extension our crews are building.

We have now reached the curve at the bottom left of the map. When the line is finished it will run all the way south to a new Pinnacle Peak Station.

What to Expect

The Ride

Each ride lasts about 8 minutes along our quarter-mile track aboard our 15-inch gauge, quarter-scale miniature train. Kids and adults alike love it!

Family Friendly

This is a great outing for families with children of all ages. Little ones ride with an adult. The whole family can enjoy the experience together.

What to Bring

Arizona sun is no joke! Bring sunscreen, hats, and water. Comfortable shoes are recommended. There's shade near the boarding area.

Donations Welcome

Rides are always free. If you'd like to support our nonprofit mission, donations are gratefully accepted in person and are tax-deductible.

Getting There
